Most of the people I meet are curious when I respond their second or third question with the answer, "I study art". Then they are like, "uuh, ohhh, ahaa.." and so forth. Usually they ask me what kind of art I am studying. And I reply, basically everything. Everything means painting, photographing, drawing, sculpting, art history, art didactic and science of art, basically everything that is connected with the term "fine arts", I guess..
Well, people are always curious, so of course they are also curious about my work. Unfortunately, pictures are not something that you carry along all the time, so I try to explain it with words. And I start talking and talking about art, well, about my art and after ten / twenty minutes I see a thought bubble over my respondent's head thinking, "wow.. this guy is very convinced of himself.. actually, I kind of liked him in the beginning, but..." - To make a long story short: I learned my lesson. Pictures can't be described in words, as well as the fact that words can't be described in pictures. People who were listening to me describing my artwork must have really really liked me a lot. Or they were just dumb (well, you have two options to chose here, haha!).
Anyways, next time somebody asks about my artwork, I'll give him this address: http://josefhong.blogspot.com and switch over to the next topic. Let's talk about soccer.
